Our heritage / lineage

Grandmaster Jae Hun Kim first established the institute at Boston, Massachusetts in 1974. He carries the tradition set by some of the most recognised Taekwondo Masters in the world. He was especially fortunate to have received personal teachings from General Choi Hong Hi, the acknowledged founder of modern-day Taekwondo, and from Grandmaster Park Jung Tae, founder of the Global Tae Kwon Do Federation. Singaporeʼs Grandmaster Santos Rivas, Grandmaster Kimʼs key protégé, heads Rivas-JH Kim Taekwondo in the Asia Pacific region.

Today, the main headquarters is located at 102 Brookline Avenue, Boston MA, 02215. There are JH Kim Taekwondo Institutes around the globe – Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, USA, Ireland, China and Korea.
